B.O.P Memorials is a family owned and operated Monumental Business, specialising in creating unique custom memorials. Raymond McKenzie the owner is a qualified Monumental Mason with over 30 years’ experience in his trade. He is supported by his experienced and qualified team; Wife Fiona, Daughters Monique and Michelle, and employees - Ammey, Lee and Nathan.
We understand how difficult it can be when dealing with the death of a loved one, and since 1996 we have been helping families in the Bay of Plenty and wider areas, to commemorate their loved ones by creating personalised headstones and memorial plaques.
Eldest daughter of Raymond and Fiona. Monique has worked for B.O.P Memorials since 2006 and runs Mt. Maunganui Office and Showroom. Monique has an extensive background in retail and staff management. Monique and husband Phil enjoy being out on the water and the outdoors.
Second daughter of Raymond and Fiona. Michelle joined the firm in 2016 after returning from Australia and runs the Tauranga Office and Showroom. Michelle’s background has been in customer service and management. She enjoys relaxing and working in her garden.
Lee (Michelle’s partner) joined the family business in September 2016. Lee has a university degree in Sports Science and is a member of the local Cricket and Rugby Clubs. Also is a volunteer Fire Fighter and trained First Aider. Lee is a qualified Monumental Mason, who works alongside Raymond at our workshop. Lee enjoys the outdoors, participating in sports and travelling.
Ammey has been with our business since April 2015 and she comes from a working background in admin. Ammey works as our cremation specialist and works alongside both Monique and Michelle. Ammey enjoys spending time with family and getting out and about camping.
Nathan is our newest member to join the family business. Nathan’s background is in Management & Butchery and is now working alongside Raymond & Lee assisting them in the workshop. Nathan enjoys spending time on his motorbike cruising with friends.
